The bridges are dental prosthetic constructions that serve as a replacement of one or more teeth, made of metal ceramics or complete ceramics upon previously prepared teeth (reducing the size of the tooth by scraping) or upon the implants. They are fixed constructions that are cemented upon the natural teeth or upon the implants. They do not have only high aesthetic function, but also a huge preventive and functional role.
Crowns are used for complete coverage of a crown or a “cap” on the damaged tooth. Besides the strengthening of the damaged teeth, the crowns are used with an aim to improve its own look, shape, and size of the tooth. The crowns are also placed upon the implant, to secure the shape of the tooth and its function in future. The porcelain crowns can ideally imitate the colour of your natural teeth. For higher aesthetic we usually recommend the crowns made of complete porcelain which most adequately recapture the look of your natural teeth.
Most commonly they are made for:
- Large fillings and changed colour
- Protection of weak teeth from fracture
- Already made fracture
- Upon dental implant
- Protection after endodontic therapy (treatment of root canals)
